The Northeastern University Office of Alumni Relations was looking for a creative way to stay engaged with their alumni and keep everyone updated with the goings on at the campus and beyond. Enter the NU View, a content aggregator and single stop for Northeastern Alumni to keep up with their alma mater.
Using Wordpress as a CMS allowed us to easily customize the REST API and utilize that in addition to a social aggregator to create a single news feed to populate the View. A NodeJS application running on the server rendered the application isomorphically for optimal SEO and performance.
